By the end of this 120-minute top rope belay lesson with our qualified instructors, you’ll be comfortable with all aspects of harnessing, knots, and belaying on a top rope. You’ll have the necessary skills to access many more climbs both at Junction and other gyms with roped climbing walls. Belaying is also a great way for parents to enjoy climbing with their kids while keeping their own feet firmly on the ground. The Top Rope Belay lesson also includes a two-week Junction membership starting on the lesson date, and rental gear for those who don't own their own.

​Price:

• $80 per person (includes HST) or $65 if you have your own climbing gear.

• EFT members do not receive additional membership dates but are instead eligible for a $15 credit on the lesson. This will be applied to your account when you arrive.

Other Information:

• Top rope belay lessons must be booked at least 96 hours in advance.

• Participants must be 13 years of age or older.

• The class does not include the certification test. This must be completed on your next visit to Junction following the lesson.

• Most climbing gyms are responsible for their own certification, so you will need to take a belay test at each gym you visit.
